Basic Features
- Supports USB (full speed mode, compatible with USB1.1, USB2.0, USB3.0)
- Supports high-speed CAN connection (ISO 11898-2) and CAN FD (supports ISO and non-ISO switching)
- Supports bit rate adjustment: 25 kbit/s ~ 8/12 Mbit/s
- Timestamp resolution approximately 1 µs
- Compatible with CAN 2.0A (11-bit ID), 2.0B (29-bit ID)
- CAN bus connection via 9-pin D-Sub interface (complies with CiA® 303-1)
- CAN electrical isolation up to 1500 V
- Supports bus load measurement, error frame detection and bus status monitoring
- Supports Linux system, Linux kernel integrated driver (SocketCAN)
- Supports macOS (MacCAN)
Hardware Introduction
Adapter Board
KH-USB-CANFD-X2 connects to high-speed CAN bus (ISO 11898-2) via 9-pin D-Sub connector. The CAN pin assignment complies with CiA 303-1 specification. The 9-pin D-SUB pin assignment is shown in the figure below.
The product is equipped with a DB9 adapter board, which can control 120 Ω terminating resistor through DIP switch (ON to enable, 1 to disable).
Indicators
Indicators easily distinguish driver recognition, CAN channel status and other information.
When CAN data is transmitted/received:
- Green indicator: Transmit indicator, flashes quickly when data is received
- Blue indicator: Receive indicator, flashes quickly when data is transmitted
