KCAN firmware
KCAN is the official default firmware for Kunhong's second-generation USB-CANFD solution. It runs on the device; the desktop software and Linux SDK run on the host.
Host software
- Windows: kcan-bus provides channel configuration, CAN / CAN FD messaging, transmit tasks and log review. Its current scope is Windows x64 with KCAN X4 native firmware mode, not every KCAN device model.
- Linux: KH-UCANFD Linux SDK provides installation, configuration, command-line tools and SocketCAN development documentation. Check the SDK documentation for hardware and system requirements.
Confirm the device model and installed firmware before use. A device already running KCAN does not need third-party ecosystem firmware for this workflow. Match the CAN settings to the peer; CAN FD also requires the data-phase rate. Only transmit on an authorized test bus.
For firmware management, see the CANmeleon device manager guide. Check the firmware's actual device applicability; this page does not provide a universal flashing procedure or claim support for every second-generation product.
This page is a basic introduction. The Chinese KCAN page is the primary documentation entry.
