When To Use It

• Connect a device for the first time and confirm that Windows can detect it.
• Check device model, firmware version, manager protocol version, bootloader version, channel count, and firmware slots.
• Install, replace, or update device firmware.
• Switch the running firmware or uninstall firmware that is no longer needed.
• Check firmware release updates and device manager software updates.
• Handle devices that enumerate as an update drive.

Installation Steps

1. Prefer the CANmeleon-device-manager-setup-x64.exe installer and follow the setup wizard. Alternatively, download the portable CANmeleon-device-manager-win64.zip, extract it to a fixed directory, and run CANmeleon-device-manager.exe.
2. Start CANmeleon device manager.
3. Connect the CANmeleon / UCANFD-G2 device to a USB port.

TIP

When using the portable ZIP package, do not run the executable directly inside the zip viewer. Extract the full package first so that the updater, driver DLLs, and bundled files stay in the expected directory layout.
